{How to Lead Your Man}

 Well, you don't.

I just got back from an awesome seminar by an incredible man named Adarryl. He is a minister at Southland Christian Church here in Lexington and came to speak at one of my mommy groups. I really enjoyed listening to him speak, especially because I learned how to be a better wife. I'll never be perfect! I'm a sinner! I realized my perfection in keeping our house clean or trying to be in charge or doing too much and being stressed..... is keeping him from being the best spiritual leader he can be!

He spoke about women and women pushing their husbands too far to be the spiritual leader in their families. We know it's biblically what the bible tells men to do and so we want that. Do you compare your husband to your pastor and wonder why he can't speak like him or have the ideas he does? It can tear families apart and men are just going to shut down and go the opposite way. So, take comfort in knowing that there's nothing YOU can do.

He said to rest easy....give it to the Lord! We may think we know how to get our husbands to lead, but the Lord knows better!

Even if your husband is the spiritual leader of your family, here are six things that we all can do as wives on a daily basis to support and love our husbands unconditionally. If your husband is not the spiritual leader of the home right now, that's ok! Adarryl said that if us women are obedient in the Lord....just watch what happens to our men!

1. Be humble   {We may think we know how our husbands are supposed to lead, but he Lord knows better! Let the Lord lead where your husband's heart is to go!}
 {Jeremiah 9:24, Psalm 18:27, Proverbs 18:27, Psalm 25:9}

2. Be clear {Remember your vows and speak on the same page. Go deep with our words towards one another!}
{Proverbs 14:12, 26:24, 25:24)

3. Be gentle {Be sincere. Try to NEVER win a fight. Have a record of 0 for 1,000! How hard is this?!}
{Proverbs 15:1, James 3:17}

4. Be strong in the Lord {A wise woman builds her home, but a foolish woman can tear her home down! We are nothing without the Lord!}
{Joshua 1:9, Isaiah 41:10}

5. Be in fellowship with one another {Serve one another, read the bible together, have authentic fellowship at dinner, make fellowship fruitful, and lift one another up to the Lord!}
{Galatians 5:13, Philippians 4:8}

6. Be obedient to the Lord and in the Lord {Express yourself in love. 10% talk and 90% action}
{Galatians 5:6}

Your husband leading is on God's agenda! These six things are all we need to do. It's enough! Rest easy...

Love,
Maegan
